Fury Road Minute 67 - The deficit mounts

The People Eater furiously pounds on his accounting book as he lists the resources consumed by this pursuit, but Immortan Joe is more concerned with his unborn child. He orders the Organic Mechanic to cut into Angharad’s lifeless body and retrieve the child. Anxious, The Bullet Farmer decides to leave his comrades behind and take care of Furiosa himself.

Fury Road Minute 63 - I was awaited in Valhalla

While Furiosa hangs from the underside of the War Rig, tending to all of the damage sustained since leaving the Citadel, Capable discovers that she is not alone on the tanker. Nux has curled up on the floor and is wallowing in his misery at having failed the Immortan and lost his chance at entering Valhalla.

Fury Road Minute 62 - Where is this… this Green Place?

The sun dips low in the sky as Max drives the War Rig through the rolling dunes beyond the canyon. Knowing that the Immortan’s War Parties are likely close behind, Max asks Furiosa about their destination. She brushes him off and leaves to make repairs as Capable volunteers to keep a watch on the tanker.

Fury Road Minute 61 - Cheedo, don't be stupid

The War Rig emerges from the canyon, but the Rock Rider’s bombs have taken their toll and Max is forced to stop and tend to the engines. Distraught from losing Angharad, Cheedo makes a break for it, followed close behind by Capable and The Dag who are able to catch her and bring her back to the Rig.

Fury Road Minute 60 - We keep moving

Capable demands that they stop and go back for Angharad, but Max saw her go under the wheels so Furiosa decides that they will keep going despite the weeping and wailing. Elsewhere, Immortan Joe holds Angharad’s limp body in his arms, blind with rage. A pair of War Boys arrive on a motorcycle and Joe orders them to continue the pursuit.

Fury Road Minute 59 - The fall

Rictus’ harpoon tears away the Rig’s steering wheel, pinning Max’s hand against the frame. Angharad and Capable cut Max loose, but the War Rig is heading for a rocky outcropping. Angharad leaps out of the way to safety, but as she climbs back to the cab she slips and falls away from the Rig, going under the wheels of Joe’s monster truck.

Fury Road Minute 58 - Mediocre

Joe anoints Nux with the Chrome spray and Rictus tosses him onto the tanker. But Nux’s glory is short lived as he falls from the walkway and Joe declares him mediocre. Joe leaves Nux behind and takes a daring leap off a natural ramp and attacks the War Rig from the left. Rictus mans his harpoon turret and fires it into the Rig.

Fury Road Minute 57 - Am I awaited?

Immortan Joe advances on the War Rig, but as Joe is about to shoot Angharad throws herself in front of Furiosa. Joe is forced to pull back leading Nux to climb around to his window and offer to take out Furiosa if he can get on board. Joe gives Nux a gun and orders him to kill Furiosa and stop the War Rig in return for eternal glory.

Fury Road Minute 56 - We had a deal

The Rock Rider Chief lands on the tanker only for Max to take him out with one shot. Another Rock Rider advances with a large bomb, but Furiosa uses a flare to knock him off his bike. The resulting explosion detaches the fuel pod and sends it rolling away. The fuel pod explodes in a massive fireball that Immortan Joe passes through with ease.

Fury Road Minute 55 - Moving targets

The Rock Riders continue their assault on the War Rig, dropping bombs from all sides, forcing Furiosa to employ the Rig’s plow to extinguish the flames. The Rock Riders are repelled by the thick cloud of sand but quickly resume their attacks. Furiosa stands up through the moon roof and uses a long rifle to pick off the Rock Riders.

Fury Road Minute 54 - Over hill and dale

The Rock Riders pursue the War Rig out of the canyon into the hills on the other side of the mountains and quickly surround it. Meanwhile, Joe navigates the rock slide and reaches the ground on the other side to give chase. In among the rolling hills, The Rock Riders attack with small bombs, using their agility to rain fire on the War Rig.

Fury Road Minute 53 - Climb aboard

Behind the wall of fallen rocks, Immortan Joe prepares to take Rictus’ monster truck over the obstruction. An Imperator brings Nux forward and Joe orders them both aboard, much to Slit’s dismay as he’s left behind holding Max’s Boot. As Joe carefully drives over the fallen rocks, The Bullet Farmer voices his displeasure at being called out for a family squabble.

Fury Road Minute 52 - Cry ‘Fool’ and let slip the dogs of war

The deal with the Rock Riders crumbles to dust as Immortan Joe’s War Parties draw closer. Furiosa cries out to Max as the Rock Rider Chief opens fire on the War Rig and signals his tribesmen to blow the side of the canyon, blocking the advance of the War Parties. Furiosa is able to evade her attackers and makes it back to the Rig where Max hands her a shotgun.

Fury Road Minute 48 - Back in the hold

Furiosa explains how she made a deal with the tribe that controls the canyon and orders everyone back into hiding. She turns to Max and says that she needs him to stay close by and drive the rig in the event that the deal breaks down. Max climbs down into the passage that leads to the tanker, keeping Angharad with him as an insurance policy.

Fury Road Minute 47 - Who killed the world?

With Nux largely under control, Max notices that another War Party has appeared on the horizon. Furiosa recognizes them in an instant; The Bullet Farmer has come from the Bullet Farm. Nux delights in their arrival, but the Wives pull him back and confront his fanatical devotion to Immortan Joe, eventually throwing him from the War Rig.

Fury Road Minute 46 - No unnecessary killing

As Max fixes the brakes on the fuel pod and frees himself from his muzzle, Furiosa and the wives quickly find that they have a stowaway. Nux bursts up through the floor and throws a length of chain around Furiosa’s neck. Angharad and the other wives are quick to act, subduing the War Boy and stopping Furiosa from cutting his throat.

Fury Road Minute 45 - Dragging something out back

Furiosa roars in frustration as the War Rig shudders in protest, it appears that the fuel pod’s brakes have locked up. She is determined to check out the situation, but Max stops her, and volunteers to go himself. Max takes his bag of guns and heads along the top of the tanker, while Nux picks his way along the bottom towards the rig.

Fury Road Minute 44 - Coming to count the cost

Max notices that the War Rig is headed towards a canyon in the mountains ahead and does his best to alter their course, but Furiosa points his attention to the new War Party that has appeared coming over the landscape behind him. Capable and Angharad take up their looking glasses and reveal that Gastown has brought its full might to bear.

Fury Road Minute 43 - He's a crazy smeg

Nux is able to catch up to the War Rig and hop aboard. Meanwhile, Max begins systematically disarming the War Rig, pulling weapons from all of the different hiding places in the cab. All the while the Wives talk to each other about their new captor, each offering their own take on his intentions and capabilities.

Fury Road Minute 39 - We're going to the Green Place

Cut free from the chain and finally able to move about independently, Max retrieves his jacket from Nux and delivers a swift punch in return for all the blood he stole. Angharad makes for the War Rig, but several more warning shots stop her in her tracks. Max boards the Rig, starts it up, and drives away.
