Waterworld: H2O Minutes - Episode 75 | "Oh, Thank God"

Deacon’s control over the situation is shattered as The Mariner drops his flare into the oil reserve, kicking off a chain reaction of explosions that begin tearing the ship apart. The Mariner dives through an opening in the deck as the smokers begin to panic. The Mariner dodges gunfire in the belly of the ‘Dez eventually coming face to face with Nord in the Deacon-mobile.

The Mariner places himself squarely in Deacon’s sights and reveals himself, much to Nord’s amusement and Enola’s elation. Pointing up at the bridge, He demands Enola’s release. Deacon has nothing but insults for The Mariner, but his tone changes once The Mariner pulls a flare from his jacket and threatens to ignite the ship’s oil reserve.

He smashes a bottle against the handrailing and whips his congregation into a fervor as they rush to their stations and begin rowing. The deck clears, revealing a lone figure looking to challenge Deacon.

Deacon reaches the crescendo of his speech and Nord carries Enola out onto the balcony where she’s held up before the cheering horde.

As the Mariner makes his way through the Deez, Enola taunts Nord while he waits for his signal to present her to the crowd. Outside, Deacon continues his sermon, declaring that one day they will dominate Dryland.

Deacon stands on his balcony, commanding his flock to have faith in his guidance. Far below, the Mariner sees two smokers have discovered his stolen jet ski. He leaps from the deck and drowns the men before stealing their clothes for a disguise and entering the ship through the jet ski garage, flattening one of the smoker mechanics in the process.

The greasy horde streams onto the deck as the Mariner finds a place to hide behind a shipping container. Deacon dispenses cans of meat before taking his place at the microphone and addressing his parish.

On the Deez, Nord and the Doc are trying to decipher Enola’s tattoo but come up empty-handed, frustrating the Deacon. On the water, the Mariner cuts through a thick cloud bank and finds himself at the base of a towering wall of rusted metal.

The Atoll survivors dispute that the world was flooded but Helen confirms it as truth. The Mariner uses a firebomb to light a trail back to the Smokers’ stronghold.

Later, at the makeshift Atoll, Smokers arrive and harass the survivors only to be ambushed by the Mariner who has returned to save Enola.

He takes supplies from the Atoll survivors and rows away into the night.

Later that evening, Helen tries to rally the survivors to go after Enola, but her cries for action fall on deaf ears.

Enola is quick to point out that population control would help, but Deacon dismisses that idea.

He takes her past a city skyline to the street below where he reveals the dirt waiting on the ocean’s floor. On the trimaran, Enola waits by the depth gauge when she suddenly notices two menacing shark fins swim past the boat.
